Ants=Protein...right? 🐜

Replay to last Sunday, I fasted for more people to find.

Monday: I scheduled a "Portuguese lesson ;)))" with a Brazilian  who lives in my area (also, shout out to the amazing creepy search features on Facebook that let me know of all the Brazilians in Charlottesville) and we just started chatting and he goes "wow, your Portuguese is a lot better than I was thinking...why?" THEN I kinda smirked and started talking about the gift of tongues, what I was doing, and our 30 min conversation turned into me testifying of the Book of Mormon. He was so interested that I gave Leonardo a Book of Mormon 45 mins after he picked up the phone to call me. TENDER MERCIES.

Well, just to keep me humble from the spiritual high I was on, God gave me a "fun" little experience. My comp and I were sitting on our porch just enjoying the Charlottesville sunset and watching fireflies light up the sky (jk, like 6 in total), and I reached down to take a drink from my water bottle. Without even hesitating, I place it in my mouth and before I started to drink I felt this glob of something drop into my mouth and it just started crawling around. When I wiped my hand on my mouth IT WAS A MILLION ANTS. Like, Brazil grossed me out with the maggots but WHY DOES VIRGINIA GOTTA DO ME LIKE THAT and send ants crawling down my throat? Well I definitely freaked out, spitting chunks of ants out, wiping them on my arms then freaking out I had ants on my arm, and all of this I was doing while running around the little "backyard" we share with 15 neighbors. Meanwhile, our Hispanic neighbors are scrubbing their shoes outside (need an explanation? nah) and they see me doing this and literally stop everything and just stare at me. Jaws dropped. Fear. I could see the tears welling up.

When all was well, I composed myself and with dignity walked into my house to never return outside that day. You better know I was proud I survived an ant attack and didn't get corona from them in the process. #proudsurvivor.

Other than so many tender mercies and gaining another witness that God is a God of miracles, this week taught me so much regarding my ancestors. I started reading the stories that people have but in my great grandparents, great great great great grandparents and all the in-between. I truly have felt so comforted and strengthened as I have studied them and humanized them. These are living people with influential stories and testimonies! I am so grateful and have vowed to be better at learning about my ancestors!

Have such an amazing week and check out "Learning Piano in Minutes" for some quick piano lessons and amazing videos of people sharing their talents! YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS IT THESE NEXT FEW WEEKS!
