FamÃlia
e Amigos!
It´s the last week of transfers this week and I´m kinda freaking out
because I finish my training this transfer and I hear my president likes to
immediately have the missionary train! If that´s the case, praying for a
Brazilian because two Americans here unable to speak Portuguese would be a
disaster. But hey, we´d draw attention and could teach a few lessons in return,
ya know?
This will be the last time you hear it from me but IT´S GETTING HOT IN
HERE. I have an alarm clock that has a thermometer on it and I figured out, the
hard way, that it doesn´t measure past 100 degrees Fahrenheit...I´m in
need of a conversion of Celsius to Fahrenheit so I can see what temp we
are at now!
This week was pretty fantastic proclaiming the word of God to my brothers
and sisters here in Brazil! My companion let me be Senior Comp this past week
to get used to the feeling and train a bit more...but this required answering
the phone in Portuguese and you don´t know how many times people have yelled at
me for not understanding but let me tell ya, decrypting Portuguese on a brick
phone that survived a 3 story fall from our house window is pretty impossible
to understand for anyone I´d say.
Not much time but I´m thankful for the refiner´s fire as a
missionary, literally, because what trust God has in us to go through the
refiner´s fire and come out more knowledgeable, trustworthy, and refined as
sons and daughters of God! A blessing!
